Deputy Chairman of the Union of Operators and Workers in the Turkish Hotel Sector, Mehmet Isler, confirmed that Turkey had seen a great summer tourist season in 2022. He says that this success prepares the country to reach its biggest goal next year when Turkey hopes to get 53 million tourists.
He said Turkey’s success in tourism is due to the effective cooperation between the public and private sectors to find innovative and effective solutions.

The Vice-President of the Turkish Federation of Operators and Workers in the Hotel Sector said they’re preparing tourist offers prepared by experts to increase European tourists next year.
Mehmet Isler said that the current statistics of reservations for the winter tourism season for this year had an increase of 25% compared to the previous year, stating that Europeans are making Turkey their vacation destination to escape the high prices in Europe.

In the coming months, European turnout will be at its peak.

Isler stated that the period from November of this year to April of next year would be the most active for tourism, adding that British, German, and Dutch tourists have shown great interest in Turkish tourism offers.
Most tourists offer a two-week vacation at competitive prices in major tourist areas in Turkey, such as Istanbul, Antalya, and Izmir.

What’s the best place to visit in Turkey?

Istanbul is Turkey’s biggest city and financial center, but Ankara is its capital. As a tourist, Istanbul is easier to navigate than either.

  • There are seven regions in Turkey. There’s Eastern Anatolia, Central Anatolia, Black Sea, Mediterranean, Aegean, Marmara, and Southeastern Anatolia.
  • There are many mountains and Turkey’s biggest lake, Lake Van, in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Ankara, the capital, is in Central Anatolia, and Istanbul is in Marmara.
  • The different areas are famous for different things, but Istanbul is the most popular. Bodrum is the best place to stay on a budget (with the best nightlife) and Cappadocia has some of the most dramatic landscapes. Patara beach, Bodrum peninsula, and Kaputas beach are the best beaches.

What’s the best time of year to go to Turkey?

  • Temperatures range from 20°C to 30°C in April, May, September and October. Turkey’s historic sites are best visited during these months, and the last two months can be great for winter sun. The top three winter sun destinations are Fethiye, Bodrum, and Antalya.
  • The temperature drops by November but is still much warmer than most other parts of Europe.
  • On the south coast, temperatures can reach 35°C in the summer months of June through September.

Turkey is safe to travel to?

  • Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) recommends against all travel within 10km of Syria’s border, except for Kilis.
  • It applies to all but essential travel to Sirnak, Kilis (including Kilis city), Hatay provinces, Diyarbakir, Tunceli, and Hakkari provinces.
  • The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs also warns against traveling anywhere near Iraq and Syria’s borders.

FCDO notes that most trips to Turkey are trouble-free.
