Living a free life allowed Turks to interact with the cultures of their surroundings and improve as a result. Turkish Anatolian songs are influenced by Lydian, Phrygian, Hittite, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman arts.

- Ney, Klarnet, Zurna, Kaval, Cigirtma, Tulum, Sipsi, and Cifte make wind instruments.
- Last but not least, Davul, Nagara, Tef, Kasik, Kudum, Nevbe, and Zil are the best.
The Ottoman Turks greatly influenced Turkish music with Arabic, Persian, Balkan, and Central Asian folk elements. Turkish music originated in the 1930s, but the trend is growing with westernization taking over the world. Different types of music are played in cities and towns to have fun and support local music.
